Liv in Motion

For those of you who haven't met her yet or don't get to see her often, I thought it would be nice to post a video of Olivia -- she's starting to make faces and talk, usually when she feels she's being ignored. Here she is watching me update the blog from her bouncer.

The Man With the Magic Touch

There is more than one photo from 20-plus years ago of Pappy when he was just Daddy in this very same pose. The names have changed, but the result is the same... an excellent nap!

Look What the Postman Brought!

Olivia got her first package in the mail! Look how excited she is to see what she got!

A super cool blanket came for her all the way from North Carolina, along with an adorable pair of handmade shoes (her very first pair).

Look at how big she's getting!

Am I the only one who thinks she looks like she's smuggling something in those cheeks?

Aunt Kimmie Visits!

Kimmie came in for a long weekend from Atlanta to meet Olivia. It was a much needed and appreciated visit -- we haven't seen Kim since the wedding.

Olivia got to spend quality time bonding with Kimmie when she wasn't cooking-- Kim played Domestic Goddess the whole time she was in town.

We had a great visit and made Kimmie promise not to wait 9 months before she comes back!

Daddy's Sweet Spot

This is Olivia's favorite spot to sleep... I think that Daddy's pretty fond of it, too!
Sometimes we had trouble early on getting Liv to snooze in the bassinet, but Chad's chest is pretty much the sweet spot -- she'll sleep there pretty much without fail, and then you can move her to her bed (if Chad will let you!)

Mommy, what a delicious nose you have!

Home From the Hospital

After a very slow and careful drive home from the hospital with Mom and Dad, Olivia could hardly wait to get inside and see her new home. See how excited she is?

The bonnet Liv is wearing is the one that Honey brought Liz home from the hospital in, although Olivia didn't really seem to appreciate that fact. Those with any bonnet knowledge will note that Olivia is wearing it backwards, thanks to her parents (who had absolutely no idea what they were doing).

Hanging out in my car seat.

Here's Olivia with Pappy -- he came over for a few days to help Mommy and Daddy get settled in.

Honey fixed the bonnet! She also got Olivia the lovely gown she's wearing for the big trip home.

Liv's First Sun Shades

Olivia was a little jaundiced those first few days in the hospital and had to spend time under the blue light. She could take a break to come in our room to eat but otherwise was stripped down to her diaper and spent her time "sunning" under the blue light and screaming bloody murder. To protect her eyes, Olivia had to wear purple fabric "sunglasses."

Surprisingly, Olivia didn't mind having her eyes covered. I suppose it was from being used to the dark already.

Olivia Elizabeth Hall

Here she is! Olivia was born Sunday, March 8 at 9:47 am. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long.
